Farmers to Families Food Box Distribution

Saturday, October 24, 2020 - 10:00am

Associated Charities is pleased to announce that on Saturday, October 24th, we will be distributing food boxes containing produce, dairy, and meat to local families in need.   This food is coming to us through the USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box program and distributed by Sysco Food Service.   Associated Charities will be working side by side with the Matthew 25 Outreach Center on this same day.  Matthew 25 Outreach Center distributes free produce boxes monthly to Ashland County residents.     Distribution will take place at LuRay Lanes parking lot, located at 647 E. Main St., Ashland on October 24th from 10:00-1:00 or until gone.    Please know that only those that participate in the Matthew 25 program are welcome to receive a Farmers to Families food box.   Thank you to our farmers and the USDA, along with Sysco, for making this happen in our community!  Remember to thank a farmer today for all that they do, as all have been greatly impacted by Covid-19.

The Ashland County Food Bank has been serving families since 1980. We are proud to be able to offer a variety of items including: milk, eggs, cheese, sandwich meat, ground beef, sausage, chicken, roasts plus canned and boxed groceries. We also keep a supply of taxable items not available with food stamps (toilet paper, toothpaste, soaps and personal items).
